We, at Adarsh solely believe that children learn not through mere words, but through actions. For the last 6??? Years we have played an active part in engrossing our students to collect waste and segregate it in the school premises.<?p>
We have adopted the 4 R’s- REFUSE, REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. We have also collaborated with TERI and their partner Bhavish over the past few years. Every year we have successfully segregated nearly a ton of waste that the students had brought in. this includes plastic (in various forms), paper, metal, cardboard, aluminum, glass and Tetra packs.
At the end of the academic year, the class that collects the highest waste is rewarded. Same with any student that collects maximum amount of tetra packs in a year.
Each house is kept in charge of the segregation room. Students are allotted their duties and religiously make sure that the room and the bins are kept neatly. Each waste is properly segregated into the required bins. Twice a month, Bhavish makes a stop to the school premises to weigh and take the waste.
